About Allison

Allison is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner® and Trainer with 30 years of experience in working with people of all ages and difficulties. One of the earliest graduates (1977) of a Feldenkrais® professional training program, she studied in San Francisco directly with Moshe Feldenkrais. In the early 1980's, she traveled with Dr. Feldenkrais on his Quest workshop tours.

A respected leader in the Feldenkrais community worldwide, she has been Chair of the Training Accreditation Board of The Feldenkrais Guild® of North America. This board oversees professional trainings in North America and certifies the Trainers and Assistant Trainers who teach in them. She teaches in Practitioner training programs in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

She holds lifetime certification as a Feldenkrais Practitioner and has a private practice in Grass Valley, California. In addition, she owns Fibers, a yarn store in Grass Valley, where she indulges her love of color and texture, and teaches Awareness through Knitting. By approaching the craft through the lens of the Feldenkrais Method, she is able to teach even the least confident knitters to improve their skills and finish projects they can be proud of!
